Singaporean group to help upgrade Phu Bai airport

A representative of Singaporean Changi Airports Group on October 2 presented his plan to upgrade Phu Bai airport in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue at a total cost of US$137 million.

The two-phase plan aims to increase Phu Bai’s flight frequency and get more airlines involved in the airport’s operation.


Phu Bai airport will be well equipped for high-power aircraft by the end of the first phase.

The local administration pledged to create the most favourable conditions for the Singaporean investor to implement the project as early as possible.
