Japan’s Kobuta Corporation, a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, yesterday received an investment certificate to set up a new US$8 million company to manufacture and sell tractors and combine harvesters in the southern province of Binh Duong.
The new joint venture, Kubota Viet Nam Co., Ltd., is 80% owned by Kubota Corporation, with the remaining 20% owned by Siam Kubota Industry Co., Ltd. of Thailand.
Moriya Hayashi, executive vice president of Kubota Corporation, said, "The Kubota agricultural machinery business in Asia is growing rapidly and Viet Nam is an important country to develop our business in Asia."
