Hai Phong: State Budget Income Reaches VND 18 Trillion In First Nine Months

The total state budget income in Hai Phong Province reached an estimated VND 18 trillion in the first nine months of this year, a 109% increase year on year, and 119% of the central plan and the plan set by the Hai Phong City People’s Council.

Of the income; custom tariff income hit VND 15 trillion, a 131% increase year on year, and 133% of the plan, domestic income tax reached nearly VND 3 trillion, a 35% increase year on year, and 72% of the plan set by the City People’s Council.

Of total state income; income from state-owned enterprises was VND 479 billion, up 43%; that from local state-owned enterprises was VND 263 billion, up 18%; that from foreign-invested businesses was VND 559 billion, up 43%. The remainder was collected from other income sources.

In the first eight months of 2008, almost all sources of income had moderate growth against the same period last year, especially income from property taxes. The results show that Hai Phong has effective implemented land clearance and resettlement.
