Vietnamese market still attracts Taiwanese businessmen

Taiwanese businessmen have faith in the Vietnamese market and will expand their investment in the country despite its economic fluctuations, according to Hong Kong’s Oriental Daily News (Dong Fang Ribao) on July 1.

The Chairman of Taiwan’s Formosa Plastic Group, Wang Yung-ching, asserted that since the Vietnamese market is still attractive to investors, his group will not withdraw from the country. Significantly, its US$7.8 billion steel complex project has recently been licensed in Viet Nam.

The newspaper reported that apart from the Formosa Plastic Group, other large Taiwanese enterprises such as the Hong Hai Group (Foxconn) and Renbao Group are keen to invest in Viet Nam. (VOV)
