Construction on most modern road of Vietnam to start

Construction on Ha Tay's northeast axis road, which was started by Nam Cuong Corp and Ha Tay local governance on July 6, was regarded as a hit to wake up socio-economic potentials in the west region of Hanoi.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were vice chair of the national assembly, former president Tran Duc Luong, former vice primer minister Nguyen Cong Tan, Chief of state presidential office Nguyen Van Chien, leaders and representatives from ministries of transport and traffic, construction, planning and investment, natural resources and environment, labour, and home affairs, representatives form other provinces and cities, and relevant agencies.

This 60-kilometre road begins in Van Phuc village, Ha Tay province's Phuc Tho district, goes through seven districts of Ha Tay and merges into Do Xa-Quan Son traffic network in Phu Xuyen district. There will be industrial zones, new urban zones, services and trade networks, culture centres, and trade villages to form along this axis such as urban zones of Thach Phuc, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, Ung Hoa and Phu Xuyen. The population of these zones will be approximately 500 thousand.

With total investment of 7.694 trillion dong, the construction will take five years.

After completion, this is not only the most modern road of Hanoi and of Vietnam but also regarded as an architectural landmark of a future Hanoi.

Right after the launching ceremony, Nam Cuong already began first categories of the project. (Tien Phong)
