Residents participate in tourism development

Kon Plong district, Kom Tum province has invited people from other areas to invest in developing tourism in the Mang De eco-tourism zone, said Nguyen Van Hung, the district Party Committee secretary.

To help people resettle in new areas, each household is being provided with about 1,000 square metres of cultivable land for developing household economies focusing on tourism. They will also have opportunities to invest in big projects as well.

Mang Den eco-tourist town is expected to be opened by 2010 and attract a large number of visitors.

At present, the locality in cooperation with the province and other agencies has worked out plans to develop these tourist sites.

So far, Mang Den eco-tourism zone has attracted 36 projects worth nearly VND 3,500 billion. (Tuoi Tre)
