PM agrees to build large-scale national fair centre

The Government Office has announced the Prime Minister’s decision on the project to build a large, modern national exhibition and fair centre.

At a recent meeting with the minister of culture, sports and tourism and other officials, PM Nguyen Tan Dung concluded that it is essential to build such a centre to promote the country’s image as well as its trade status and economy.

He said it is necessary to build at least two centres of this kind, in Hanoi and in HCM City.

The Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee will work together on the construction planning for such a centre in Hanoi in line with its expansion plan recently approved by the National Assembly. (CPV)
