Nosco sea transport firm posts 80b dong H1 profit

Northern Sea Transport Co (Nosco) recently announced that during the first haft of the year it made a revenue of 400 billion dong and 80.4 billion dong in profit, equalling to 53.6% of the year's plan.

The firm successfully finished receiving the 68,591 tonne Nosco Glory ship and put into operation.

Nosco would receive the 45,585 dwt Nosco Victory ship and complete building 12,500 dwt ship at Ha Long shipbuilding factory in the third quarter of 2008. Then, the company would continue building two 10,500 SWT vessels at Shipmarine Saigon with the total investment capital of US$35 million and start construction on building a vocational school for worker export capitalised at 50 billion dong in Bac Ninh province's Thuan Thanh Dist.
