Mercedes named as car sponsor for Miss Universe 2008

Mercedes-Benz Viet Nam (MBV) recently received a certificate to serve as the exclusive car sponsor for the Miss Universe 2008 pageant in Viet Nam.

The pageant’s organizing committee will use Mercedes cars for logistical activities, especially to transport the 80 representatives as well as VIP guests and other celebrities on this special occasion, MBV said.

“We want to utilize this chance to prove that we are a good corporate citizen in supporting one of the biggest international events in Viet Nam,” General Director of MBV Udo Loersch said.

“We also want to contribute to promoting Vietnam’s image and tourism to the world.”
