Investors complain about tourist zone hassles

Investors told a conference held in Nha Trang Friday that they had problems with paperwork while investing in the Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Zone.

They did not get clear guidance over documentation, zoning plans keep changing and land for their projects is not handed over in time, they complained.

Khanh Hoa Province’s Department of Natural Resources and Environment has allotted land only to three out of 40 investors so far.

Infrastructure in the 1,200 ha tourist area has not been completed yet, making investors apprehensive about going ahead with their projects.

Infrastructure is now expected to be completed in 2010.
