Vinashin invests 3.8tr dong in urban and industrial zone

The Viet Nam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin) recently announced that it plans to invest 3.8 trillion dong in urban and industrial zone in Lai Vung Dist in the southern province of Dong Nai.

The urban and industrial zone covering on an area of 460.683 hectares was schemed to build shipbuilding mill and seaport along the Hau River.

First, Vinashin plans to build a 50-hectare resettlement area and technique infrastructure system with the investment capital of 950 billion dong from 2008 to 2011, 1.45 trillion dong to build a 70-hectare shipbuilding mill with estimated tonnage of 50,000 dwt from 2008 to 2010 and 1.4 trillion dong to build 70-hectare seaport and warehouse system with an estimated capacity of 10,000 dwt from 2008 to 2010.
