Thai Nguyen lures large investment

Over the past years, the northern province of Thai Nguyen has attracted a lot of domestic and foreign investors through various trade promotions.

In 2007, Japan’s Intra Group carried out a project worth US$100 million in Thai Nguyen city. Other large projects also have been implemented in the province.

The Japanese group praised the province’s investment environment for creating favourable conditions for businesses, said Lee Yin Shu, managing director of the Intra Vietnam company.

So far, the province has licenced many domestic and foreign projects in tourism, eco-resorts, trade, mining and construction material production.
